Free Star Wars Planner Inserts and Clips

May the 4th Be with You. It’s that time of year again when Star Wars becomes the perfect theme for your planner.

My husband was extra excited about my plans to make Star Wars Inserts and Clips. Not only is he a big Star Wars fan, but my two boys are quickly becoming fans as well.

Now that they are older and have seen the movies, they are even more obsessed. I hear about Droids non-stop all day.

Free Star Wars Planner Printables

For today’s post, I am sharing with you free printable Star Wars planner inserts and clips. While I made these to use with my Happy Planner, the insert files can be used with most planners and the clips can be used with any planner or paper.

If you use a spiral or bound planner (such as an Erin Condren or Recollections), see how to use the inserts here. The free printable Star Wars planner inserts and clips are available to download at the end of this post.

The planner inserts are different this week for each type. The To Do list is my favorite (see below). I have also included a blank insert, a menu, and a simple lined insert.

All of which are available as a front or back. For today’s clips, they feature the front and back of 3 different characters (see below). The trickiest part is sticking the front and back on correctly. It’s okay if you’re off slightly, you can trim the edges (especially of Chewbacca).

Just in case you’ve never made a planner clip (I promise you that you can – it’s super easy!), here’s a Youtube video that helps explains the basics. If you want them to last a little longer, you can laminate them as well.

If you haven’t gotten a laminator yet, add it to your next list. They’re cheap on Amazon and it’s fun to laminate stuff (wish I knew when I became such a big nerd that I love to laminate…). Amazon has the lamination sheets so cheap that you can make these clips extra durable for very little money.

The inserts allow you to keep track of a to-do list, shopping list, meals for the week, etc. The inserts provide flexibility; you can take the insert out to take with you and you can move it around in your planner as needed. If you’d like, you can laminate these, too, and use a dry erase or overhead marker on them.

What other theme of insert/clips would you like to see? I’d love to make something you all would like! Comment below with some ideas.

Coordinating Free Star Wars Planner Stickers

For an extra special bonus, on another post, I am sharing a sheet of Star Wars planner stickers as well. Click here for the Star Wars Planner stickers.

Free Star Wars Planner Inserts and Clips

Here’s a preview of the stickers (click here to get to the stickers post):

  • Inserts are available in 2 sizes: Mini/Classic, and Big. Classic/Mini will fit most planners. Big will fit planners that are 8.5 x 11. This week’s inserts are slightly smaller so they work for either the Classic or the Mini
  • Files are in JPEG, PDF, and Silhouette format.
  • There are 3 available styles (see above). The menu is only available as a front.

Directions for the Planner Clips (this youtube video is helpful to watch)

  • Print one front piece and one back piece (has a number 2 at the end) on cardstock for added durability.
  • Print/Cut using the silhouette file or cut with scissors
  • If you’re going to laminate your clips, laminate the planner clips first in two separate pieces.
  • Glue the paper clip to the back of one of the printed paper clip toppers. Make sure to glue the paper clip low enough that it will still work as a paper clip.
  • Use more glue to place the other piece on top of the paper clip/first side. Make sure the image is facing out.
  • This is the perfect glue for making planner clips. It’s strong enough to hold. Hot glue also works well.
  • Allow time to dry before use.

  • Glue the front and back together using a strong glue or hot glue.
  • If you want to laminate the the insert (to use with a dry erase marker), glue first and then laminate.
  • Hole punch in the hole punch area.
  • Allow time to dry before use.

Tips and Tricks for Printing/Cutting

  • Print on cardstock for added durability.
  • Simply download the files below, unzip, and print the files you need. Files are in three different sizes so pick the one that works with your planner.
  • This is the perfect glue for making planner clips. It’s strong enough to hold.
  • Make sure you select one front and one back design for the inserts and clips (backs are all labeled with a 2 at the end).
  • If you’d like to print the clips/inserts in another size, adjust the size percentage on your printer options page.
  • The Silhouette file is set for a portrait (what I have). It can easily be used with a Cameo instead, just change the mat settings.

I LOVE THIS SITE!! I get to do what I love and not blow my whole budget. I would love to see some layouts with college themes and some that are career specific (I am an educator that tried to encourage my young people that hey can do anything).

Thank you for all that you do! Oh! Thank you for keeping it simple.
