I could spend hours browsing home decor Instagram accounts. It’s one of my greatest time wasters when I am avoiding chore or work (right up there with scrolling Pinterest and Facebook).
Since we started to build our new home, I was eager to start planning the decor in our new home. Having a blank slate is both exciting and overwhelming. That’s when browsing home decor hashtags and Instagram accounts became a bit of an obsession.
There are so many inspiring Instagram accounts for home decor, no matter your style. I tend to lean towards farmhouse, cottagey, homey Instagram accounts. I love houses that look comfortable and warm.
But, I also love bright pops of color and mid-century styles. It may not be how I decorate my house in the end but I still love to look at other types of designs.
Aside from pretty home decor, I can’t get enough of organized spaces. Give me an account with all the things organized – labels, organized by color, symmetry, etc. My house will never be Instagram organized, but one can dream.
Must-Follow Home Decor Instagram Accounts
Are you a lover of all things home decor? Then you don't want to miss these amazing home decor Instagram accounts. Here are the best accounts to follow so that you have something to scroll while watching your favorite episode of Fixer Upper or Property Brothers on HGVT.
While the entire feed is stunning, my favorite posts from Fawn Teresi are all of the little moments in her house - shelf decor, little decor nooks on her counters, her wall art/decor displays, bookshelves, and mantels.
Kate's Instagram feed is full of numerous spaces because she's a designer who shares her own home and her designed rooms for clients. Talk about a dream job - she gets to design beautiful spaces for families to come home to.
Katie is local to me so I may be a little more partial to her IG. I love her style - she collects older, antique pieces or pieces that need a little love and redoes them. She either sells them or uses them herself. Her house looks cozy and magazine-worthy at the same time.
Tammy has a following of over 100K for a good reason - she has incredible style. Her feed is full of her own designs + popular designs from other decor accounts. I love to find new people to follow through her IG as well.
Shandy's home is beautiful and real. Some of the other IG'ers on here are a little over the top or out of the budget for me. I love Shandy's feed because it is attainable style - she uses easy to find products (think Target Dollar Spot and Rae Dunn).
Bre's style is impeccable. I remember when I started my first blog (before this one), Bre was just starting out and focused on flipping furniture. I knew she was going to be successful because her style and creativity really stood out. For those of you that aren't farmhouse fans, Bre's style is more midcentury modern.
Erica owns a shop on ETSY called Bailey's Branches. Her IG has the most adorable tiered serving platter decor set ups and Rae Dunn collection, ever. The best part is that you if you fall in love with a set up, you can actually buy some of the pieces to recreate it yourself. (this is not an affiliate link, I just love her set ups!)
Tasha is the perfect account to follow if you love color (her go-to hashtag is #colorismyjam). Tasha is a blogger over at Kaleidoscope Living (used to be Designer Trapped in a Lawyers Body). She's been featured in numerous magazines and even on TV (such as the Rachel Ray show).
Liz Marie's Instagram feed is gorgeous. She's one of those Instagrammers that you feel like you really know (her FAQ's help with that). Liz Marie and her husband will totally make you fall in love with their house and them!
I have been a long time folllower of Kristi and Kelli at Lolly Jane. Their style is feminine with a touch of whimsy. Plus, you can always count on them for funny quotes on their large scale quote wall (an idea I totally want to steal for my own home).
Janna is another blogger I have followed for a long time. Her new home is gorgeous and has given her the most amazing Instagram content. Wait until you see how they were able to remodel their home into the beautiful space it is today.
Sarah has been a long-time home decor blogger (honestly, I think of her as one of the pioneer home decor bloggers). She has taken us through the designing of multiple homes. She's a hands-on designer and will show you how to DIY projects in your own home.
Jessica's Instagram has another Pinterest-famous kitchen. I can't scroll through pictures of kitchens without seeing a shot of her kitchen with hanging cutting boards or pots and pans. Jessica's is another IG'er who has attainable style with her 1940's farmhouse-styleld cottage. I even tried to steal her idea of lights of the family room windows but there just wasn't room between the two trims.
Jennifer's cozy farmhouse style is lovely. If you love neutrals, she has some inspiration for still having a wow space using all neutral colors. I have saved so many of her photos as inspiration for our new space.
Michael and Keleigh are transforming them home into a modern farmhouse. It's so charming - I especially love their holiday decor within their home. Plus, they have a love of wooden signs - it's so much fun to see their collection and use of signs.
