If you want a simple way to keep track of your menstrual cycle, this free printable and digital period tracker set is a valuable tool for your planner. Whether you prefer printable planner inserts or digital planner pages, this set has everything you need to track cycle length, symptoms, flow intensity, and monthly changes.

With multiple layout options and built-in customization, these period tracker templates help you better understand your menstrual health without relying on period tracker apps or extra expenses. Yes, apps can be really helpful in tracking your period as well but sometimes pen and paper (or digital pen and paper) for something so personal feels more private.

Period Tracker Layouts Included

This collection includes two main trackers, a monthly and yearly tracker, that has a total of 11 variations total of the trackers. One of the variations are both a Monday and a Sunday start for the weekly period trackers. Here are what some of the trackers look like, the only difference for the other options available are how the keys are set up. Some have blank keys so you can fill in your own symptoms which gives you customization options and such while others are pre-filled.

Why Use a Printable or Digital Period Tracker

Tracking your menstrual cycle is helpful for understanding reproductive health, planning future periods, and noticing changes that may matter over time. If you are trying to conceive (or even trying to avoid conceiving), it’s extra important to track your period so that you know additional information about your cycle and when you may be ovulated.

A printable period tracker is especially helpful for teens or anyone navigating their first period because it offers a clear, simple way to see patterns.

Printable period tracker templates let you view the whole year at a glance, while the monthly layouts help you focus on daily habits and routine shifts. The yearly tracker helps with keeping tabs on irregular periods, new pains or symptoms, and possible issues or concerns.

Some people prefer printing these pages for binders or bullet journal printables. Many people feel it keeps your personal data offline if you prefer not to store information in apps.

While others love adding the transparent PNGs to digital notebooks, pasting digital stickers, and adjusting color schemes. They do not feel a sense of the information being stored digitally (although not quite the same as putting your data into an app that collects data). Do whatever works best for you – it’s all about your personal preference.

Printing & Digital Planner Tips

Print the pages on thicker paper such as card stock for best results. You’ll get cleaner cuts if you are trimming for Happy Planner size or a smaller planner. The PDF format is ideal for high-quality results and works with most home printers. If you are printing the Happy Planner Classic Size printables, still print them on standard US Letter size paper and then trim along the black line using scissors or a firbon paper cutter.

If you only have copy paper, that works well, too. What’s nice about copy paper is because it’s thinner, it keeps your paper planner from getting as thick and heavy. I know it doesn’t seem like it makes much of a difference but if you have a lot of pages, the thickness can really add up.

For digital planning, use the transparent PNGs, and insert them into a digital planner or notebook of your choice. You can also upload the PDF file as well but it will not be interactive, so it will be a stand alone file. The PNG pages are easy to resize in Goodnotes, Notability, or other digital planner apps so that they fit seamlessly into your planner.
